American Georgians for Progress
American Georgians for Progress (AGP) strives to deepen United States - Georgia friendship and strategic partnership. AGP is devoted to supporting and implementing projects that advance democracy, media freedom, the rule of law, anti-corruption efforts, human rights and fundamental freedoms.
Who We Are
American Georgians for Progress is a non-profit, charitable organization that has been established in accordance with the 501(c) section of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization is headquartered in Morrisville, PA.
AGP unites American citizens of Georgian origin, Georgian citizens residing in the United States and other friends of Georgia. In addition to the goals outlined in the mission statement, the organization supports members of the Georgian diaspora in the United States, by serving their cultural, educational and civil needs.
AGP’s activities are sponsored by the monthly membership fees and donations made generously by its members and non-members alike.
Core Projects and Activities
1. Supporting youth movements, grassroots organizations and critical media promoting Western values, democracy, and human rights in Georgia.
2. Providing aid to Georgian and American veterans of international missions.
3. Supporting social projects and community-based organizations in the United States and Georgia.
