American Georgians for Progress AGP continues to help underprivileged families in Georgia.

The newly established organization - American Georgians for Progress, has implemented the following activities on the territory of AGP Georgia:
February 2020
• Vladimer (Lado) Abkhazava's students were given the necessary items as a gift.
Lado Abkhazava is a teacher of Civic Education at the public school in the village of Chibati, Lanchkhuti Municipality. He is a winner of the 2017 National Teacher Award and the finalist of the 2019 Global Teacher Award.
March 2020
• Due to the spread of the corona virus COVID-19, the organization has purchased headgear, antiseptic solutions and gloves in Georgia, which have been distributed to Georgian citizens several times free of charge.
• Those Georgian citizens who were left in a difficult economic situation were given food.
April 2020
• The money was transferred to the library's account to restore the Saakashvili Presidential Library.
On April 19, 2020, citizen Bacho Katamadze set fire to the Presidential Library. As a result of this vandalism, the first floor of the library was set on fire.
• On April 19, a TV story about 79-year-old Anzor Noniashvili was televised on Formula TV One. Mr. Anzor is taking care of his 43-year-old son, Gia, who is 3 years and 6 months old. They live in extreme poverty. The organization sent Mr. Anzor the money, the wheelchair, the diapers and also provided with the food. We will continue helping this family.
• Misha Papa, a resident of Telavi, who was fined 3,000 GEL, was given food and medicine, also we purchased 300GEL tulips from him, which were given to the staff working in hospitals and grocery stores.
• With the help of the organization, food products were delivered to about 200 families in Georgia.
• The organization had been providing a person infected the coronavirus in the United States and a young family with the food for two weeks.
The AGP would like to thank every Georgian donor and non-governmental organization NLI for its initiative.
As a result of the monthly donations of Georgian emigrants, it has become possible to mobilize funds and carry out the above-mentioned activities on the territory of Georgia with the help of the NGO Young Leaders Initiative [NLI].
